Challenge

Key Design Features The master plan places a vehicle-free, pedestrian-first central core at its heart — safe, walkable, and surrounded by both academic blocks and sports infrastructure. Stepped massing prevents shadows over sports arenas, while natural wind corridors improve microclimate comfort throughout the campus. Outdoor facilities include a multipurpose activity pitch with a running track, mini-cricket, tennis, and life-sized chess installations, alongside professional-grade netted cricket pitches and a regulation basketball court. Indoors, an open-to-sky amphitheater, main auditorium, and fully equipped AV rooms serve both academic and community functions. The facade uses high-performance cladding with recessed windows and vertical louvers on East-West orientations, ensuring glare-free classrooms and reduced thermal loads — critical for both learning environments and sports courts. Visualization & Analysis After Vision Studio conducted sun-path simulations, glare studies, and spatial flow analysis during the design phase — ensuring precise louver depths, shadow-free pitches, and optimal pedestrian experience before construction.

Impact

Jayraj School sets a new benchmark for educational infrastructure in the Baramati region — demonstrating that a school campus can be as much a training ground as a learning environment. By embedding professional-grade sports facilities directly into daily campus life, the design actively reduces the barrier between academic ambition and athletic development, giving students access to world-class spaces without leaving their school grounds.
